Matthew Hughes

Matthew joined CWA in May 2017 as an Associate. He began his career at Cameron Taylor Bedford in June 1994 as a Trainee Engineer. Having graduated from Coventry University (part-time) with a Degree in Civil Engineering he developed his training under an approved institution of Civil Engineers Training Scheme enabling him to gain experience in the design and detailing of various projects throughout the UK. In September 2001 he joined CTM and gained further experience in the retail and refurbishment sectors.
Matthew spent 13 years at Rodgers Leask as a Senior Engineer and worked his way up to Divisional Manager. He was responsible for various developments including government schemes requiring National Atomic Security Clearance. Matt spent a year managing the London office before returning to run the Longbridge office prior to joining CWA.
During his career Matthew has been involved with major car manufacturing companies, fast food restaurants and large-scale developers where the primary aims are client satisfaction, economic design and speed of response.
Andrew Godber

Andrew began his career as a graduate engineer with Stewart and Harris after graduating with an honours degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Warwick. After 2 years he moved to Arup, where he worked for 14 years, building up a wealth of project experience, and led design teams on significant defence and education framework agreements, including an MoD framework to deliver £550 million of accommodation for the armed forces.
Andrew joined CWA as an Associate in 2015 to work as part of the Senior team, and lead multiple projects in the West Midlands and beyond. He has led CWA design in a variety of project sectors: education, residential development, further education, industrial and social care. He is also acting as a mentor to graduate engineers within CWA as they progress towards chartership.
