Description

The two storey building is constructed of load bearing masonry with precast concrete floors, a trussed rafter roof and traditional mass concrete strip and pad foundations. Part of the building incorporates a steel transfer structure supporting accommodation located over the open plan ground floor communal facilities. A steel structure was also designed to support an overhang at first floor which formed part of a large meeting room with a mono-pitch roof.

This development was awarded the Chartered Institute of Housing – West Midlands Development of the Year 2015.
