The four and five storey building is constructed from load bearing masonry with precast floors, posi joist flat roof and traditional concrete strip and pad foundations. The cramped site presented challenges with regard to external works and foundation designs given the 8m cross fall from boundary to boundary. The project was designed in a Level II BIM Model involving the Architectural, Structural and M&E disciplines. This allowed the design team to identify and resolve all issues of coordination between trades prior to the construction phase.
