Description

The project required deep piling techniques to support not only the buildings foundations, but also the swimming pool and balancing tank. The swimming pool walls were constructed using a ‘sprayed’ concrete technique onto a single sided shutter, which was set inside the re-formed concrete substructure of the main building.

In order to provide access to the development and associated carparking area it was necessary to design the roadway to span across an existing watercourse. Following extensive negotiation with the Environment Agency, we established that a piled culvet arrangement could be adopted in lieu of an expensive road bridge.
